We have completed the arrangements for the East Coast seminar on February 4-5, 2006. The seminar is being held in conjunction with Lâ'Academie de Cuisine, the premier French cooking school in the Mid-Atlantic area. The school is located in Gaithersburg, MD, a suburb of Washington, DC.
Hotel arrangements have been made at the Comfort Inn, 16216 Frederick Road, Gaithersburg, MD (the intersection of Shady Grove Road and Frederick Road). Phone is 301-330-0023. Please contact the hotel direct to make your reservations. Our rate is $74 for a single room.
If you are driving, exit East on Shady Grove Road off of Interstate 270, continue on Shady Grove Road to the intersection of Md Route 355 (Frederick Road), turn right and then right into the hotel parking lot. The hotel is located approximately 1/3 mile from the school.
If you are arriving by plane or train, take the DC Metro Red Line to Shady Grove Road Station. Call the hotel and they will send a van to pick you up.
For those using public transportation, the hotel van will transport you to the school at 8:30 on both Saturday and Sunday mornings, and pick you up to return you to the hotel at the conclusion of the days work. Please remind the front desk of your need to go to the school when you check in.
Directions to the school if you are driving:
Exit East Bound on Shady Grove Road off of Interstate 270. Turn left at Gaither Road and follow Gaither to the first stop sign. Turn right at the stop sign on Industrial Drive and left into the first driveway. The school address is 16006 Industrial Drive.
