Association News ACF Recognizes Personal Chef Industry at Vegas Forum The Personal Chef industry will be taking a huge leap forward this July after American Personal Chef Association's Executive Director Candy Wallace speaks in a seminar at the American Culinary Federation's annual conference in July. Candy will be talking to the topic "The Changing Face of Opportunity in the Culinary Industry - the Personal Chef Option" after she was invited by the ACF to speak at their "Forum 2001" session in Las Vegas. This is a huge leap toward truly establishing the the Personal Chef industry in the minds of our culinary peers by getting recognition by the nation's only legally recognized culinary certification agency. The APCA will also be hosting an exhibitor booth at the ACF conference (booth 1004) and we all look forward to speaking with a wide variety of chefs, culinary school educators and culinary suppliers. This promises to be a tremendously exciting event and shows that the world of the personal chef is gaining the legitimacy and credibility in the eyes of the established culinary industry that the APCA and its members have worked so hard for. The conference runs from Sunday July 22-26, with the trade show displays open on July 23 & 24. Candy will be conducting the seminar on the 23rd during the exhibition hours. After the conference, Candy will also be leading an educational seminar session, so if you're going to Vegas for the ACF show, this would be the best time to sign up for the seminar too! 2001 Summit Announced - Las Vegas is Venue The 2001 American Personal Chef Association is confirmed for October 22-25 (arrival and departure dates inclusive). The APCA has already booked a block of rooms at Circus Circus at a GREAT price for attendees. Educational sessions are already starting to shape up and more information will be released in the next edition of this newsletter. So mark these dates down on your calendar and prepare for the best opportunity for hard-hitting information sessions as well as great times getting to know other members of our "national chapter".   • More details about the APCA Vegas October Summit   • Information about exciting new APCA offerings
