Resource - Untangling the Web(link)

As a member of the APCA, one valuable benefit you have
access to is the weblink referral page at personalchef.com
find-a-chef.com that is included in your initial membership fee or annual
renewal.

Surprisingly, not all members are taking advantage of this benefit!

While some members aren't in the full "swing of things" yet, there are established members who don't have their weblink referral pages set up yet. It's like being open for business, but not telling your customers.

One of the concerns some members have is that they don't have a website for the weblink referral page at find-a-chef.com to point to. Guess what? You don't need one. As long as you have a telephone number, you can gain huge benefit from the find-a-chef.com weblink site.

To put it another way, think of the weblink referral page at find-a-chef.com as a highly targeted yellow-pages ad that enable potential clients to search the Internet for a personal chef, and then be able to call you as a result of finding your page listing you in their area.

Some of our most successful members have no website (or have long been in the throes of getting one built) yet they get calls from their referral page regularly! If you want clients, this is something you should do!

It is important to keep in mind, however, that the weblink referral page is NOT your website.

The APCA doesn't provide website hosting as this would only cause membership fees to increase to support the additional server space and support costs. Plus, there are a variety of free or inexpensive webhosts available on the net (see links below).

As some of the weblink referral page requests have become increasingly complex, it will become important for the Association to consider implementing a clearer weblink referral page policy that provides the all members with equal placement and presence within the site once the APCA's new website is up and running. Look to the members forums for any changes or updates to the weblink referral page policies.

With the changes that are coming (VERY soon) to the APCA website, even more time-starved and hungry clients will be looking for our personal chefs. Now is definitely the time to activate your weblink referral page by contacting member services today!
